Overview

Political theory examines fundamental questions regarding politics, government, power, justice, rights, authority, and the organization of societies. It involves analyzing concepts such as justice, freedom, equality, and democracy, as well as exploring the philosophical foundations of political systems. Political theorist explore both normative (what ought to be) and empirical (what is) aspects of political life.
