The Institutions and Elections Project (IAEP), co-directed by Professor Håvard Hegre, is a dataset that provides detailed information on formal political institutions and electoral processes across 170 countries from 1960 to 2012. This dataset focuses on de jure institutional provisions, electoral procedures, and events. It provides data on 107 institutional provisions and 16 electoral procedures and events variables.
